St. Helens pre-wedding

Pre-wedding: it is the best opportunity to get to know the couple, and the couple to get to know me. So when the wedding day has come, we all feel relaxed and comfortable. Now, it sometimes happens that a friendship grows and by the time we meet on the big day, we are already friends. Sarah and Andrew have chosen me to take their wedding photographs, but we also have had the chance to have a drink and a walk, and a chat or two. What a lovely couple, can’t wait to see them unite their lives in a few days time.

  1. […] As a photographer I meet a lot of people, but there are a few times that I feel I “click” immediately with the couple. By this, I mean that from our first meeting I can feel there is a nice atmosphere, fun, jokes, and soon we become good friends, like with Sarah and Andrew. When I first met them at their home in St. Helens, I couldn’t believe how many ideas and views we had in common. We could talk about everything, besides their wedding plans and their wedding theme. There was a lot of rock n roll, all-stars (my favourites shoes), a BatMan surprise costume, and a lot of fun throughout the day. Started at the Hillcrest hotel where Sarah was getting ready, quite stressed at first though. Andrew was having a drink with his friends from all over the country, some of them he had not seen for the last twenty years. Where was I in all this? Running up and down to capture emotions, moments, stress, fun, as I usually do anyway. Things started to relax after the wedding service, when the closest relatives and friends came to the nearby park for a few photos. The surprise of the day was the wedding party. I have gathered here some photos of the day – I intend to show more than just a few, in an effort to present a documentary of the whole day.
